"For as long as I've known Adam, he's focused on common sense solutions: how we can make things simpler for small business owners, support public safety and limit bureaucracy. He's got my vote."
- Aaron Burris, Tillamook City Councilor and small business owner.
To my Fellow Residents of Tillamook County:
As a fourth-generation resident, Tillamook County isn't just my home; it's part of my identity. I grew up attending Tillamook public schools, playing sports at the YMCA, singing in the school choir, working at the local auto parts stores and volunteering at Sacred Heart Church.
After attending college and spending a few years teaching, when the time came for me to pick a place to live and raise a family, there wasn't a doubt in my mind where I wanted to be. I returned home to Tillamook and opened a small business helping people buy and sell real estate. There is nothing that prepares a person for public service like running a small business, where success or failure doesn't just affect you, but your employees, business partners and everyone around you. That's the mindset that I truly believe is essential for a county commissioner.
When I returned home I knew that it was time to start giving back to the community that gave so much to me. I served as a member of the City of Tillamook Planning Commission, the Tillamook Urban Renewal Agency and the Tillamook City Council. I've also served as president of the Tillamook County Board of Realtors and the Cultural Events Director of the Monday Musical Club of Tillamook.
Tillamook is on the brink of something amazing right now. The choices we make over the next few years will shape the direction of our community for generations to come. I hope you'll join me in moving our county forward in a spirit of collaboration, making essential services like infrastructure and public safety a priority and removing barriers and red tape so private businesses can thrive. It would be the honor of a lifetime to serve as your next county commissioner. I hope I can count on your vote.
All the best,
